We know that, as students, Halloween is one of the most important events of the year! Whether you’re planning to dress up, go out and have a crazy night, or stay in and have a horror movie marathon, Lancaster has a lot to offer this spooky season!
No Halloween celebration is complete without a pumpkin! Plus, carving them can be a fun activity for the whole household. You can find one in most supermarkets at a relatively inexpensive price, which is perfect for our Lancaster students as it’s a fun activity that won’t break the bank. Why not stick a scary movie on or pop on some Halloween tunes in the background and make an afternoon of it?
One of the best parts of carving pumpkins is being able to make something out of the leftovers, this way nothing goes to waste! BBC Good Food has an amazing list of different recipes you can make with your carving leftovers, including a recipe for a pumpkin spiced latte- Who could say no to that??
By now, most students living in Lancaster know that Kanteena throws some of the best themed nights! This Halloween, they are hosting a Black Parade – 00’s Emo Anthems Halloween Party with tickets coming in at less than £10- Perfect for all our Lancaster students! For more information or to buy tickets click here. As Halloween itself falls on a Tuesday, the 00’s Emo Night takes place on Friday 27th October, kicking off the Halloween weekend with a bang.
If emo anthems aren’t your thing, Kanteena is also hosting a Ritual Noise – Halloween Party earlier in the day on the 27th of October! This is an alternative night out for those who prefer the darker and harder side of electronic music. To book your tickets click here.
Kanteena is the perfect place for a night out for our Lancaster students as it’s right in the town centre and located a short walking distance from most of our Lancaster off-campus student housing.

Following the final path of the Pendle Witches, spend your Halloween retracing their final footsteps up to their execution.
