Lancaster Music Festival is back again for its 14th Year! The Music Festival is one of Lancaster’s most popular events with both students and locals. With over 50 venues taking part across Lancaster city centre, the Lancaster Music Festival is not an event you want to miss!

To all of our Escape Campus tenants who have moved to student accommodation in Lancaster centre, we promise you’ll want to experience one of the UK’s largest urban music festivals! People from all over the UK flock to Lancaster every autumn for a long weekend of fun, music and live entertainment. With a huge selection of different musical genres, performances and events, there’s bound to be something for everyone- even for the most obscure music tastes. The best part about spending the weekend at Lancaster Music Festival….. it’s right on your doorstep, meaning it’s only a short journey away from your student home!

Where to find the Lancaster Music Festival

Taking place in Lancaster centre from October 10th-13th, the Lancaster Music Festival will be held at over 50 different venues. This includes pubs, bars, cafés, the city square, and even Lancaster’s historic castle. All the venues are located within the town centre and for those of you who are living in off-campus student housing, all the events will only be a short journey away from your student home. Some of you living right in the city centre may even be able to enjoy some of the festivities from the comfort of your student home!

Musical performances are taking place at some of Lancaster’s most iconic, well-known locations, such as Market Square, Lancaster Castle, Storey Institute, and even a couple of secret locations that have not yet been revealed! There will also be food and drink stalls at Dalton Square if you fancy something different.

Music

Lancaster Music Festival celebrates a wide range of different genres, performers and musicians in the local area, whilst including and welcoming diverse acts from all over the world. There are over 300 artists confirmed for 2024’s festival and over 400 performances taking place over the weekend. From workshops to street theatre, almost all of the events taking place at the music festival are free- Perfect for our Lancaster students! What a perfect way to spend a weekend, why not head down into the town centre with your housemates and enjoy the festival.
