Highest Point Festival Lancaster 2023

AsherLancaster Student Life

Highest Point Festival is returning in 2023 for its 5th year in a row from May 11th-14th 2023! From great music to amazing local food, it is a hit with locals and tourists. In fact, people travel from all over the UK to visit Lancaster during the festival weekend to experience everything Highest Point has to offer. The festival itself is based at the top of Lancaster in Williamson Park. This should only be a short journey for all our students living in off-campus accommodation in Lancaster centre up to the Park.

Home to the iconic Ashton Memorial, Williamson Park is the perfect backdrop to host Lancaster’s biggest event of the year. Listen to your favourite artists live whilst looking at beautiful views of the local area, the Lake District, and the Fylde Coast. If you want to discover more about Williamson Park itself, read our last blog post here.

What’s on at Lancaster Highest Point Festival

The line-up that’s been announced to be playing at Highest Point is some of the biggest artists they’ve had so far! Anne-Marie, Bastille and Hacienda Classical will be headlining the weekend festival. We understand that whilst everyone’s musical tastes are different, there should be something at the festival that suits everyone’s style. The Main stage, the Woods stage, the Dell stage, the Chris Glaba memorial stage, and many more will present a range of different music tastes from pop, drum and bass, dubstep, indie and more. For the full line-up, visit the Highest Point Festival website.

One of the best things about the Highest Point Festival is that you don’t have to worry about camping over! Luckily for our local university students living in an off-campus house in Lancaster, your accommodation won’t be too far, even if you are attending the festival for the full 3 days.

With so much going on, you’ll be spoilt for choice. It’s the perfect way to spend a weekend and get out of your Lancaster student house and into the sunshine for some well-deserved downtime. As well as music, there are also live comedy acts, poetry performances, conversation panels and more! Including activities and events planned for the younger festivalgoers.

Food and Drink

In addition to a fantastic music line-up, Highest Point also has a large variety of refreshments available for all attendees. This includes multiple local food stalls serving a selection of different foods. There should be meal/snack options available to suit everyone’s different tastes and preferences, as they provide organic, vegetarian, and vegan options too! However, if you’re unsure your needs will be met, you can send an email to ‘info@highestpoint.co.uk’ With your specific dietary requirements.

Growing in popularity with each successive year, the Highest Point Festival is a wonderful event for people of all tastes and ages. With this year set to be the biggest and best one yet, it’s one event you won’t want to miss whilst you’re still in Lancaster. For more details on the festival and how to get tickets, you can visit their website.
